Wayfinder
My first role at Digital Extremes was to help launch the Playstation and Steam title “Wayfinder”. I was the sole digital artist on the project until the studios parted ways. I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the game's marketing efforts and graphic design. This journey allowed me to craft captivating visuals that brought the world of "Wayfinder" to life and engaged its community in exciting ways.
I was entrusted with creating the game's key art for community streams, major updates, and the beloved "Wayfinder Wednesdays". These pieces were essential in conveying the game's atmosphere, drawing players into its universe, and generating excitement for upcoming events. Each artwork was a labor of love, designed to leave a lasting impression on the community. I established many processes and built templates from my designs that were handed over to the studio so they could simply replace character renders, text and screenshots where appropriate.
Working within Unreal Engine, I customized and meticulously built the Wayfinder characters. My responsibilities extended to lighting, creating captivating poses for the renders, and staging scenes that communicated the game's narrative and aesthetics. This work allowed me to breathe life into the characters and scenes, making them resonate with players on a deep level.
In addition to my digital artwork, I took charge of graphic design tasks. Crafting a cohesive visual identity for "Wayfinder" was integral to its brand, and I ensured that every graphic element and promotional material, adhered to this vision.
As the sole digital artist for "Wayfinder", I poured my passion for storytelling and design into every project. It was an honor to contribute to this remarkable live service game, and I'm thrilled to share my journey and creations with you here.
